Fit-aroma® in MONGE VETSOLUTION JOINT MOBILITY CANINE contains the Boswellia serrate extract. The natural resin extract with studied effects in dogs of reduction of severity of typical clinical signs, such as intermittent lameness, local pain and stiff gait.

The chronic degenerative joint, associated with osteoarthritis, is the major cause of lameness in dogs and is a commonly encountered consequences debilitating for everyday’s life of animals. This condition is found among dogs of all ages, but is prominent in younger as well as certain breeds of larger dogs. The osteoarthritis can develop secondary to hip or elbow dysplasia, osteochondrosis or trauma. Clinical studies have confirmed that Boswellia resin can inhibit a branch of the arachidonic acid cascade related to leukotriene synthesis. A possible selective anti-inflammatory effect relating to competitive and reversible inhibition of the leukotriene synthesizing 5-lipoxygenase is partially due to characteristic constituents of the resin, triterpenic acids. These acids could prevent excessive for- mation of leukotrienes. Moreover, it is assumed that excessive formation of leukotrienes is responsible for maintenance of a chronic inflammation process and that inhibition may down regulate the progress of disease.

OMEGA-3 FATTY ACIDS:

The EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), an omega-3 fatty acid, contained in the sal- mon oil, is able to reduce the articular pain of dogs and improves their mobility.

SINGLE ANIMAL PROTEIN:

MONGE VETSOLUTION JOINT MOBILITY CANINE products are formulated with a single animal protein, hydrolysed salmon proteins, in order to sup- port the dietary management of musculo-skeletral diseases and conco- mitant adverse food reactions.

GLUCOSAMINE AND CHONDROITIN:

They are anti-inflammatory and anticatabolic components through the inhibition of NF-kB.
